PyRun is a learning platform. Most people use it exactly as intended. This policy exists so that when the small minority does not, the rules are explicit and the response is fair, fast, and predictable.
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to every person who uses PyRun — signed-in or anonymous — and to every piece of content you upload, save, share, or publish through the Service, including code snippets, notebook cells, workspace files, hosted pages, project submissions, comments, and support messages (“User Content”).
2. What you must not do
You must not use PyRun, and you must not use its in-browser runtimes (Pyodide, SQL, notebook, terminal, or any hosted page), to:
- Break the law. Any activity that is illegal under Indian law or the law of your location — including but not limited to violating the Information Technology Act 2000, the Copyright Act 1957, the Indian Penal Code, or the sanctions regimes of any relevant jurisdiction.
- Distribute unlawful content. Child sexual abuse material, content that promotes or incites terrorism, content that infringes the copyright, trademark, or trade-secret rights of others, or content that is defamatory, obscene, or pornographic.
- Harass or endanger others. Threats, hate speech, targeted harassment, doxxing, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that promotes self-harm.
- Impersonate. Pretend to be another person, company, or public figure, or misrepresent your affiliation with any organisation (including with Neuraedge.AI itself).
- Scrape, mirror, or resell our content. Systematically download, republish, or commercially redistribute lesson text, exercises, checkers, illustrations, or curriculum structure. Copying snippets for your own learning is fine.
- Abuse the runtime. Cryptocurrency mining, hash cracking, port scanning, denial-of-service attacks against any third-party server, credential stuffing, or any activity that interferes with other users' access to the Service. The in-browser Python runtime is for learning Python, not for offensive computing.
- Ship malware or phishing. Upload, host, distribute, or link to malware, ransomware, spyware, keyloggers, phishing pages, credit-card skimmers, or any code intended to damage or deceive third parties.
- Circumvent security. Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written authorisation (see the coordinated-disclosure process on our Security page), or attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, quotas, or paywalls.
- Abuse the referral or affiliate programmes. Self-referrals, fake accounts, forged PAN/UPI details, false attribution, cookie stuffing, or any coordinated scheme to extract commissions without genuine user acquisition.
- Send spam. Use the Service or its email channels to send bulk unsolicited email, SMS, or messaging.
- Use AI features deceptively. Generate AI-written project submissions to obtain a certificate without genuine learner effort. Certificates obtained this way may be revoked and the account terminated.
- Sub-let the Service. Resell your account, expose the Service through an API you charge for, or provide classes or coaching that redistribute our content without a written commercial licence from us.
3. What we may do (enforcement ladder)
When we become aware of a violation — through automated signals, user reports, law-enforcement contact, or our own review — we respond proportionally:
- Warning for first-time, low-severity issues. You get a message describing the problem and a chance to correct it.
- Content removal or hiding when User Content violates this AUP. High-risk categories (CSAM, phishing pages, credible malware) are removed or auto-hidden immediately, then reviewed by a human within 24 hours per Rule 3(1)(d) of the IT Intermediary Guidelines.
- Feature restriction — for example, disabling AI features, publish, or referral payouts while the issue is being investigated.
- Account suspension for repeated or serious violations. Suspended accounts retain their data and can be reinstated after the issue is resolved.
- Termination for the most serious cases — child sexual abuse material, credible threats, sanctioned parties, fraud against the Service or its users. Termination may be immediate and without refund.
We reserve the right to skip steps for the most serious violations, to report unlawful activity to Indian law enforcement, and to preserve records for the period required by applicable law.
4. Reporting a violation
If you see content or behaviour on PyRun that violates this AUP, report it at /grievance (category: “AUP violation”), or email grievance@pyrun.in with the URL, a short description, and any evidence. We acknowledge reports within 5 days and act within 30 days. Urgent categories (CSAM, phishing) get same-day human review.
5. Appeals
If your content was removed or your account was restricted and you believe it was in error, reply to the enforcement email you received or file an appeal at /grievance (category: “Enforcement appeal”). We will review your appeal within 30 days and either restore the content / account or explain in writing why the enforcement stands. If the outcome is still unsatisfactory, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India or the relevant Indian court.
6. Coordinated vulnerability disclosure
Security researchers acting in good faith are welcome. Please follow the disclosure process on our Security page (or /.well-known/security.txt). Do not test on other users' accounts, do not exfiltrate more data than needed to demonstrate a finding, and give us a reasonable window to fix before public disclosure. We do not currently run a paid bug bounty, but we will publicly acknowledge responsible reporters (with your permission).
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP as the platform evolves. Material changes are announced 14 days ahead of taking effect, per our Terms.
